La Vida Adirondack Adventure Retreats is not just a week or weekend away, it’s a transformative experience. From a day out on the pond, to s’mores around the campfire, we plan and facilitate all the details so you can spend your time having fun and building relationships with your group.
The La Vida Center has been offering outdoor expeditions, team building and leadership-development programs in the Adirondacks and in Massachusetts for over 50 years, and we are well-known and respected in our field. Our mission is to offer outdoor programs that build community, transform character and develop leadership.

Step away from your day to day routine and experience the breathtaking beauty of the Adirondack Park. Located just 30 minutes from Lake Placid, NY, our rustic base camp is perfectly suited to serve your group’s needs. Our bunk-style cabin sleeps up to 15 people, and there’s so much to explore on our 75-acre property. This site has been a space for fellowship to thousands of people since 1995.

Our property includes multiple low ropes course elements that can be used for team building.

Facilities
Indoor Lodging
Rustic housing for up to 15 on our base camp property in Lake Clear, NY. Additional housing available upon request.
Campsites
We have several campsites where your group can learn to set up tents, cook their own meals and have meaningful conversation over the fire each night.
Food
We provide delicious, home-cooked family style meals in Marcy, our main cabin. Our staff will oversee food planning and address any dietary needs.
Gathering Spaces
Our property is fully outfitted for all of your meeting needs, both indoors and outside including A/V support, mobile firepits and more. We are here to make your experience the best possible.

Adirondack Expeditions is a program of the La Vida Center for Outdoor Education and Leadership at Gordon College located on the North Shore of Boston. La Vida houses six different programs for the community including an adventure day camp for middle and high schoolers, a rock gym and challenge course activities for all ages. La Vida provides spiritual development and leadership experiences for Gordon students as well as community organizations utilizing Gordon's campus and our Base Camp in the Adirondack mountains of New York.
