Adventure Camp
Adventure Camp is a week-long summer day camp for ages 10–15 with high ropes, kayaking, mountain biking and more. Working with us is an incredible opportunity to have fun playing games with kids, growing in leadership and working with an intentional staff community on Gordon College’s campus. Staff lead small groups of 10-15-year-olds on the low and high ropes course, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, canoeing and large group games. Learn more »
ADK Expeditions
Adirondack Expeditions offers backpacking and canoeing trips in the Adirondack State Park of New York focused on developing transformational leadership, exploring your faith and building community. Staff run wilderness trips for Gordon College students as well as other high school groups that come during the summer season. Working for La Vida’s wilderness expedition program as a trip leader or base camp staff member is an exciting and rewarding adventure that develops growth in both leaders and participants. Adventure Pursuits
Adventure Pursuits offers team-building activities that provide meaningful and memorable adventure experiences for groups like schools, non-profits and families. Staff facilitate half-day, whole-day and two-day overnight experiences for schools, churches and youth programs. You’ll work with teams of two to ten staff to provide adventure programming on both the low course team-building elements and the high course elements. Learn more »
Discovery
Discovery uses adventure learning and a supportive Christian community to help students transition and develop during their first year of college. Senior instructors and apprentices lead students in the eight-week quad class during fall and spring semesters. Classes include low ropes course activities, high ropes course elements, and a weekend trip for Gordon students. Learn more »
Rock Gym
The rock gym offers open gym, our public climbing program, as well as events like birthday parties, lessons and classes. Staff follow a growth plan designed to provide opportunities to develop leadership, facilitation, customer service, and climbing skills. Learn more »
Internship
La Vida Interns work alongside the full-time La Vida staff in several program areas as well as marketing, research and office tasks. Each intern will work an average of 8 hours per week when classes are in session. La Vida interns usually have primary responsibilities in one program area, but may work across all programs and will report directly to and be primarily mentored by one La Vida staff member.
