After a summer of leading La Vida trips, some sherpas decided to start their school year by taking their own weekend backpacking trip. The trip was incredibly fun and the six kept running into people they knew. Along the trail, they met a Gordon Conwell grad who asked if they “had done that backpacking trip all Gordon students have to do.” Yep. Sure have, mulitiple times. The also saw a man they met during a wilderness medical training course they took during the summer in the Adirondacks. The man was from England, lives in Canada, and they saw him leading a trip on a peak in New Hampshire. Small world. And finally they ran into one of the sherpa’s group leaders from two summers ago. Super small world!
